PUBLIC LENDING SCHEMES

The authorities, primarily the Government of Greenland, supports building of new houses.

In addition, funding is provided for the replacement of inshore fishing vessels and for innovative projects, experimental fishing, and the like, considered to be of use for the development of the fishing resources of Greenland and the utilization thereof.

The government and the municipalities provide loans for financing housing. Up to 40 per cent of the construction cost of single-family homes may be loaned.
